 The Difference Between Soul, Spirit and Higher Self

michael-roads-logoYou and I are souls clothed in both a physical body and identity. It is soul that is supposed to incarnate from one so-called lifetime to another, but the words we use to describe this tend to create a false picture. The suggested image is that we die, then through rebirth we incarnate onto Earth once again. In other words, the image is birth, death and rebirth, over and over. This image is false.
Personally, I do not like to use the term ‘Higher’ Self. Higher Self implies that the identity – I/me – is a lower self, and this is not true. You and I are soul/Self on a journey to discover the ‘I Am’ Self through the experiences of the identity/soul self. This is why we are here. There is no other reason. Ambition, goal setting, and all the ‘trappings of success’ are exactly that, subtle traps that feed the fears of identity/ego while further trapping identity/ego in illusion.  To read more of this article …click here

William BuhlmanWilliam Buhlman, best-selling author, teacher, and leading expert on the subject of out-of-body experiences, presented the keynote address at the 2014 Professional Seminar at The Monroe Institute.
He describes how OBEs can prepare us for an enlightened transition and why self-initiated OBEs are a direct and powerful spiritual path. He also explored an overview of the many methods available to effectively initiate OBEs and navigate the nonphysical realities.
This is a long one but well worth the effort of watching – 1.5 hrs.
We usually look for short videos because we know you are busy people but this one is so enlightening about OBE’s (Out of Body Experiences) that we suggest you turn off the TV one night and watch and listen.  You will be enthralled and be much, much wiser about how consciousness works….Rosemary and Peggy,  click here:

He describes the Overself Body and the steps necessary to rediscover that greater persona of being. (The awakened Overself cannot be achieved completely in isolation.)

As we ascend, there is an awakening.  Our other bodies ‘stir’ as we connect to them.  It is said that we have 5 bodies and each has a function but they are ‘dormant’ until our consciousness connects with them.
Find out your true purpose…
We need to start this at the 3rd Dimensional level by being present.  By being present, we can take the first step to a supra consciousness state.  We have the opportunity to ascend.

Tonight we will also experience what it is like to be present and at the same time notice what our minds are doing and the importance of pictographs and sound. We are going to look at simple ways, and practice them together and set intentions and ask the Masters to empower these intentions.  Then place these intentions into our hearts during a meditation. 
As we ascend, there are angels and Masters to guide us.  Tonight we will learn their names and feel their energy as we expand our awareness and consciousness.

Come along, turn up to sit or lie down in the wonderful sacred geometry of the Grand Hall to surrender, bliss out and receive sound vibrations THAT MAY TAKE YOU OUT OF BODY!  while John and Marc bathe you in extraordinary sound through Marc’s virtuoso didgeridoo, and John’s gongs, Tibetan bowls & bells, chimes, rainstick and ocean drum plus the voice of Joe Vandermeer.
By surrendering, with a quiet mind, to the sound of the giant gongs, didgeridoo and other musical instruments, the natural intelligence of our body can entrain back to a state of wellbeing.  It is then up to you to maintain that state by modifying what you think and consume.
Everything in creation has its own natural rate of vibration which can be accelerated or decreased by other sources of vibration by the scientific law of sympathetic resonance or entrainment.
Bring a rug/blanket and pillow to lie down or sit as you allow your body to be immersed in these wonderful therapeutic and consciousness-expanding sound waves.
The cells of our bodies tune into these beautiful sounds whether from dig gongs, drums, bowls, bells, voice and release toxins embedded thought patterns that no longer serve us and the result is that we feel rested relaxed, CLEANSED and REJEVENATED.
Just as a piano tuner is called in to tune up a Steinway to keep it playing in tune with creation so our bodies need to be ”tuned up” so that each organ of our body knows it is supported and loved, knows it’s place in the scheme of things and is in oneness with all creation.

Christina Christou shared with us her experiences while recently attending the Sun Dance Ceremony of the Lakota tribe in South Dakota. I was impressed by the dedication it takes for some of the men to dance for 4 days without food or water and some even with body piercings that tear their flesh. I can’t help but think that the deep connection they make to Mother Earth sustains them.
The natives had suffered being persecuted, driven off their lands and even the ceremony itself was outlawed for many years. For many people the injustices we suffer can lead us to the belief “Life is Not Fair”.  Christina suffered a similar dislocation when she was young, and her family was driven from their land and lost everything when Cyprus was invaded in 1974. But she emphasized it is not what happens to you, but what you do with it that matters. You can choose to be bitter or be ‘the change you want to see in the world’. And she has done that by example – good on you Christina!
Christina has really grown over the last few years and she has realised that you cannot change anyone, the only person you can change is yourself.  This way she teaches by example.  She walks her talk.
Christina’s current charity work is the Guatemalan Project – to build an echo sustainable hospital, birthing centre and school in the jungle of Rio Dulce, Guatemala. This will bring support to 35 villages who currently have no facilities. The closest medical help is a 6 hour walk. The floor, walls and toilets are built and now they are up to finding the funds for the roof!  Any donations will be greatly appreciated and all go direct to the project.

 HEALTH TIP:The 8 Best Foods for Your Immune System

HealthThe majority of your immune cells reside in your intestines, so doesn’t it make sense to consume healthy foods for keeping your immune system top notch? Here are 8 foods you can eat right now to boost your immune system.
1. Bell Peppers
Reach for all the bell peppers you want because they can actually have twice as much vitamin C as citrus fruits. In addition, bell peppers are a great source of beta-carotene, which not only helps maintain healthy skin and eyes but studies suggest they could also provide an immune system boost.
2. Citrus
Citrus fruits are packed with vitamin C. Believed to increase the production of white blood cells, C is essential for fighting off infections. Since your body doesn’t produce or store this vitamin, load up on citrus to help keep your immune system up and running. Supplementation with the vitamin may be helpful, but it’s always best to receive the vitamin from its natural source.
3. Ginger
Ginger is thought to work much like vitamin C in that it can even stop a cold before it starts. That said, it’s also a great food to reach for after you’re sick. Ginger can have a little heat due to the gingerol, a cousin of sorts to capsaicin—the stuff that makes chili peppers hot. It’s the “kick” of the gingerol that can even act as a strong soothing agent.
4. Turmeric
You can find this spice in many curries; it’s bright yellow in color, and a little bitter in taste, but it can definitely be pretty amazing for your health. While it’s already been used for its soothing capabilities for arthritis (among other things), a recent study suggests high concentrations of curcumin—what gives turmeric its color—could also reduce fever.
5. Spinach
With vitamin C, beta-carotene, and plenty of antioxidants, spinach is a perfect vegetable for your immune system. If you want to get the most out of it though, cook it as little as possible, or even keep it raw. But don’t stop at spinach; a study suggests that other leafy green vegetables are good choices as well.
6. Broccoli
Like spinach, broccoli is another great vegetable choice packed with antioxidants and vitamins. With vitamins A, C, and E, broccoli could easily be one of the healthiest vegetables you can put on your table. Just like with spinach, cook it as little as possible to retain its nutrients.
7. Yogurt
If you like yogurt, make sure you’re getting the full health benefit by eating the kind with live cultures. Recent research suggests these cultures may strengthen your immune system. [7] Yogurt can also be a great source of vitamin D, which can also help boost the immune system.
8. Almonds
When your immune system needs a boost, vitamin E sometimes loses the spotlight to vitamin C, but both are crucial for a healthy immune system. Vitamin E is fat-soluble, which means fat is needed in order for it to be absorbed properly. You can get almost all of your daily allowance of this vitamin by reaching for a half-cup of almonds. How easy is that?
